As a child, I spent hours building imaginary worlds with construction toys, convinced that one day I would become an architect. Everything changed when I discovered photography in high school. The camera became a new way of seeing and engaging with the world. Soon after, I studied Cinematography at ESCAC (Barcelona), where I expanded my understanding of images and its ability to move, communicate and tell stories.

I don't believe there's a single style that can define every project I've worked on. Every story has its own voice, and I enjoy discovering it and shaping it into images. Light, composition, space, colour and movement are the elements I use to build each film, always striving to ensure that the image serves the story and its emotional core.

Every now and then, I change roles and direct my own projects. I began with films inspired by dance, drawn to its ability to tell stories through the body and movement. Over time, that curiosity led me towards increasingly narrative work, culminating in my feature directorial debut, Dismantling an elephant, starring Natalia de Molina, Emma Suárez, Darío Grandinetti and Alba Guilera.

Alternating between cinematography and directing allows me to experience filmmaking from two complementary perspectives. My work as a cinematographer makes me a better director, while directing helps me better understand the filmmakers I collaborate with.

De pequeño pasaba horas construyendo mundos con juegos de construcción convencido de que algún día sería arquitecto. Todo cambió cuando descubrí la fotografía en el instituto. La cámara se convirtió en una nueva forma de mirar y de relacionarme con el mundo. Poco después estudié Cinematografía en la ESCAC, donde amplié mi manera de entender la imagen y su capacidad para emocionar y narrar.

No creo que exista un estilo capaz de definir todos los proyectos que he realizado. Cada historia tiene su propia voz y disfruto convirtiéndola en imágenes. La luz, el encuadre, el espacio, el color o el movimiento son los elementos con los que construyo cada película, buscando siempre que la imagen esté al servicio de la historia y de la emoción.

De vez en cuando también cambio de papel y trabajo de director. Empecé haciéndolo en piezas vinculadas a la danza, atraído por su capacidad para contar historias a través del cuerpo y el movimiento. Esa inquietud me ha llevado a desarrollar proyectos cada vez más narrativos, hasta debutar en el largometraje con Desmontando un elefante, protagonizada por Natalia de Molina, Emma Suárez, Darío Grandinetti y Alba Guilera.

Alternar la dirección de fotografía y la dirección me permite mirar el cine desde dos perspectivas complementarias. Mis habilidades como fotógrafo me hacen mejor director y mi experiencia dirigiendo me acerca a los directores con los que colaboro.
